"Dakota" is a 13 year old AQHA foundation bred mare. I understand the technical color is "grey" - but if you've ever wanted a "white" horse - this would be your chance!

This girl has a pretty fun handle on her.... (read more) We ride her inside of our indoor arena, and we have trail ridden her many times. She is super solid both directions on her gaits, and really rides pretty fun in the arena. She has no buck, no rear, no kicking out, and has never said no to us.

She has some fire underneath her, and maybe at one time was some sort of local gaming mare? That was unclear when we took her in. She will walk out on a loose rein if you ask, but is not a deadhead by any means.

This mare is NOT "marish" around other horses, but she has a mare personality to ride - if that even makes any sense? She has that typical gritty, ears back, all business behavior under saddle. Then again, let me tell you this: in her 12 minute long video, she is in full blown heat - so yes, this could be considered "at her worst".

There is no squealing, kicking, or alpha mare attitude from her in the pasture. Maybe this is a best of both worlds. She has the heart and personality of a mare, and only where it matters. Ride her now, and breed her later. I honestly think a baby would do her very well!
