Take a look at this adorable guy! Newt is a grade 14yr old 13.1hh flea bitten gray QH/Welsh pony cross gelding. This little guy can do it all! He’s a great trail horse. Goes out in a group or alone. Crosses rivers, bridges, logs, etc. Very used to farm equipment, traffic, wildlife, guns, cattle, dogs, and other horses. Nice little ranch horse. He’ll herd and sort cattle, stands to let you lean off of him to open or close a gate, and I’ve thrown a rope off him.... (read more) He knows all the gaming events: poles, barrels, keyhole, and dash. He had a year off of competing. I just started him on the pattern again but he’ll still need a little refresher. He’s been to rodeos and shows in the past and has always done awesome. No gate problems. Very smooth w/t/l. Neck reins and moves off leg. Has a nice stop. 100% sound and healthy. Great hooves. Barefoot. UTD on coggins, rabies vaccine, dewormer, and farrier. Trailers well. Very easy keeper. Newt has a lot more go than whoa and would be best suited with a confident experienced rider with soft hands. He would make a great horse for a small adult or confident young kid. He knows his job but he can be nervous around new things (not uncontrollable by any means). He’s never bucked, kicked, bolted, reared, or bit. NOTE: Newt is a little cinchy and has a tendency to pull back if you tighten the saddle too fast. As long as you slowly tighten it, he’ll stand without a problem. Besides Newt’s little quirk, he’s a great horse looking for his special person. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Good home a must. Asking $2,200 but negotiable to the right person.
