Geronimo is a 12yr old Appaloosa pony gelding, approx 12hh.
Very gentle and quiet, loves kids. Good with his feet, loads, ties. No buck, bolt or spook. No vices, he won’t run to the barn or scrape kids off. Rides in or out of an arena. Used to kids, quads, dogs, equipment- nothing much phases him.
Geronimo is not fancy broke, but has previously learned neck reining and moving off the leg and is starting to pick it up again.
UTD on vaccines, farrier and dewormer.... (read more) Teeth floated in fall 2021. Sound, no history of founder. Gets along well with other horses, middle of the pecking order, has lived with mares and geldings.
Geronimo is suitable for a confident beginner. He is forward and sensitive, definitely not a dead head. He cannot be on grass in the spring/summer as he is a pony and is at risk for foundering.
It takes him awhile to trust new people, so you may have to take some time to catch him until he knows you. He is great to catch for us, we can walk right up to him on pasture.
Our kids have moved on in their interests, so we would love to find him a home that will enjoy and take care of him. A good home for Geronimo is our priority!
