Cheyenne is a big stout Quarter Horse mare that anyone can ride. She was used on a ranch, been roped off of, sorted roping steers at roping's and rodeos, pushed steers onto the trailers, drug cattle to the fire, doctored cattle, open/closed gates, and been used by he kids at play days. She rides with a loose one hand neck rein, rides off leg pressure, she has a good backup, side pass and stop.... (read more) She will ride with a very smooth walk, trot, and canter.

Cheyenne will let you carry a flag, open/close gates off of her, has no problem walking in water, down streams, up/across/down deep ditches/ravines, over fallen trees, thru thick brush, in the woods with no spook. We have a construction company next door so she is also used to the sights and sounds (air breaks) of trucks with trailers, heavy equipment, tractors, lawnmowers, backhoes, dump trucks, semis, etc. She rides the same whether she is rode once a week or once a month.

She is gentle, has great ground manners, is easy to catch, and is kid and dog friendly. She stands well for bathing, grooming, saddling/tacking up, spraying her with fly spray, and picking her feet, for the farrier/vet, for mounting from either a mounting block or the ground. She also loads great and hauls quietly. She gets along very well with all of our other horses (mares, and geldings alike), she's not "mare-ish". She is a very sweet mare. She has a great laid back attitude.

Cheyenne will be a great prospect for; ranch sorting, team penning, little britches, teach kids roping, queen's contest, drill team, parades, play days, barrels, poles, goat tying, grand entry, mounted patrol, 4H/FFA, lead line, walk-trot, a lesson horse, trail horse, trail horse competitions, or just a great family/pleasure horse. She is the type of horse that will do anything you ask.

Cheyenne is a beautiful STOUT dark red mare with halter horse conformations. She has a beautiful feminine head, thick mane and long tail, strong neck, and shoulder, nice wither, straight back, and a WIDE chest and hip. She is safe, sound, sane, with no vices. Cheyenne is very sweet and anyone would be proud to have this mare in their barn. She would be great for the ranch, kids and your inexperienced guests to ride. Please no outside trades, deposits, or payment plans. First come, first serve.

All horses are the sole property of Doug Gittins and come with; a 30 day guarantee in writing (as a signed contract), a current negative Coggins, and we give every horse a strep (strangles) and a flu/rhino 4-1 vaccine.
