Cowmans Hancock King
2018 model red roan gelding
Sixpac stands roughly 15.2hh (may be slightly taller haven’t gotten exact measurements). He is ready to be someone’s #1 and not sit on the back burner! And I’ve officially come to terms with selling him! This horse WANTS to work and hates sitting around doing nothing. Anyone can ride this horse! Young kid, husband, lesson student, your friend that’s never sat on a horse..... (read more) the most he does is become hard to get going with complete beginners (aka he won’t take off with anyone on his back or do anything stupid).
He does not care what his job is. Ranching, trail, performance work. Whatever you ask of him he’ll put 110% into. He was roping slow cattle on the head side end of last year and doing well on the sled but as I mentioned above he’s been on the back burner. He’s still getting ridden so he’s in shape but my students have been doing most of the work. W/T/C, sliding stop, spins (on the slower/beginner side but he’s got the basics of it down)
I’ve owned this horse since he was 5 months old. He has never been to the vet for anything but routine work. Never taken a lame step, etc. He is currently shoed all the way around with sliders on the back - this is just preference. He’s a horse that will save you money as well! Fly masks, rubber bell boots, winter blankets, etc. anything you put on he will destroy so save your money and leave him be. He is happy that way so I let him.
Before you say “Oh well he’s a Hancock” this horse has never bucked with a person on his back a day in his life. You can let him sit for a month and pull him out and go ride and he’ll probably be hyper like any other horse but he will not “explode” or anything along those lines. Not to mention this horse does not have a mean bone in his body - he’s everybody’s best friend. Another horse could pin their ears and try to kick him and he’d think they’re besties.
PPE welcome at buyer’s expense. We have an arena & sled.
