"Sparky" is a 2013 gelding with a resume as impressive as his papers. He is an own son of the NRHA Earner "Shining Freckles" - a product of two of the greatest horses in AQHA history: Shining Spark and Colonel Freckles! His dam is an own daughter of the foundation bred, Multiple AQHA World Champion, Mr Poco Straw.

This guy was finished in the cow horse, and has some money won under his name. He has the turnaround and stops down, and really, the only reason he left is we were told, they thought he grew too big.

This guy rides inside or outside of the arena - with a bridle or without one. Since leaving the show pen, he has been the go-to ranch and trail horse. This guy has done everything from working cattle out west, to wintering in Arizona for trail rides in the mountains. He crosses creeks, over logs and is good with busy traffic. He has had ropes thrown off of him, and has even seen the rodeo scene to be used as a haze horse.

This guy would be great to show, use on the ranch or just go trail ride. He can have time off and will be the same every single day. He saddles right up out of a box stall on hot alfalfa, and will walk off flat footed.

He stands good for the farrier, the vet, bathing, tying, and hauls like a dream. He is one of the nicest horses to step foot in my barn in the last year.

You'll say, why then? Why him, why now? Well - we have an outdoor arena to build, and that doesn't come cheap these days. Sometimes, you let a good one go to "adult" a little.
