"Sasquatch" or "Squatch" is a 12 year old Appaloosa gelding. I will tell you right now, you won't find one with looks to match very easy! He is a true dunskin appaloosa - with zebra stripes, a full mane, a full tail, and a perfect spotted blanket.

This guy is SAFE. We have never found a thing to have him look twice at.... (read more) He has been riding in our arena, and outside on our trails. He does all the "funny" stuff and probably would prefer to fall asleep while it happens. He has lived with our longhorns next to the busy road, and is first to the gate when you go to feed in the morning.

This guy came from a dude ranch outfit as a trail and pack horse. If you don't know what that entails, that means he is bombproof to follow "Head To Tail". If you need a horse to duct tape your grandma on, and let her follow behind you for hours, say no more. Sasquatch is your guy. Lead the way, and if you walk, he walks. You trot, he trots. You stop, he stops.

He is NOT buddy sour. He will not whinny, call out, or trot off on you - but, he does not ride out the best independently. What does that mean? Lose the leader, he stops in his tracks and waits to be lead where to go. Maybe like my mom said when I was younger: if we get separated, stay where you are, and don't move - I guess he got that memo. I have not owned many like this, but I do know in this world he is an invaluable asset in the right situation.

If you have city friends to take trail riding, or the husband who just wants to see the sights with his hands on the horn, or even a young kid who just wants to be on the "big horse" next to mom and dad, you will not truly find a better guy than Squatch. He is sound, pretty, the perfect age, and absolutely as sweet as can be.
