This guy is guaranteed to turn heads! Typhon “Ty” is an 11yr old black 15hh grade Morgan/quarter horse cross gelding. Not only does Typhon have the looks but he’s also a blast to ride! Great trail horse. Goes out in a group or out alone. Will cross rivers, bridges, and logs. Very used to traffic, farm equipment, guns, cattle, dogs, and other horses. I’ve shown Ty in English pleasure and hunter jumping. I’ve jumped up to 3ft with him.... (read more) He’s still a little unsure of jumping at shows and will need a little more work to make a good show jumper. He does great at shows and places well. Very smooth w/t/l. Responds to voice and seat commands. Moves off leg. Has an awesome sliding stop. Neck reins. No buck, bite, bolt, rear, or kick. Great with vet and farrier. Barefoot. He’s also quite the little ranch horse! Herds and sorts cattle, stands to open and close a gate, and I’ve roped a couple steers off him. Ty was used as a lesson horse in the past. Because of that, he’s very calm and lazy when being ridden in an arena which makes him suitable for any level of rider. Although, he’s much more forward and testy when out on trails (not uncontrollable by any means) and occasionally needs a firm hand. Because of this, I would recommend a confident intermediate+ rider for him. Stands to be mounted, saddled, bathed, and tied. He loads into trailer fine. Easy keeper. 100% sound and healthy. UTD on vaccines, coggins, dewormer, and farrier. NOTE: Ty does not like to be locked up in a stall. He’s very content in his stall as long as I leave the stall door open. When I close the door he will get very anxious and rear up. I don’t know what happened to him but he must have some bad experience of being locked in a stall. He also can be hard to catch from the field at times. Other than those issue, he doesn’t have any other vices or bad habits. Typhon is looking for his special person to call his own. Good home a must. Asking $2,800 but negotiable to the right person. Serious inquires only.
