Introducing Tradewinds Herald! Hank, as we call him here at home, is a personable and smart colt who has been an absolute joy to raise. He inherited his dams brave, never quit attitude, coupled with the athleticism and drive from his sire, he should be a very serious competitor for a variety of disciplines in the future. He is expected to attend the 2023 National Percheron Show held at the Indiana State Fair and will be competing in the Sr. Colt halter class.... (read more) This colt is very correctly made and could be a competitive prospect to show at halter for the next few years and should grow into a very fun partner to ride and drive in the future. He has a very nice canter, and appears to have the same presence and athleticism at the trot as his sire. He could be a fun dressage prospect in the future or a competitive driving horse. With his brave attitude and fearless nature he could also be a very fun partner for trail pursuits under saddle and in harness.
Hank has been weaned and is broke to lead, stands quietly tied (both straight and in crossties), and is started on age-appropriate body control cues such as yielding his hind quarter, backing and yielding his forehand. He is a brave and curious partner for walks to inspect new surroundings and has been very happy to have new skills to try out. We expect Hank to mature in the 17hh range, he is UTD on all cares. As with all our young prospects, we would consider offers on Hank to find him the perfect home.
