Norbren fan Blue Ribbon Friesians is a black beauty. Born in 2012 to us, we are his breeder and only owner. He is a perfect 16 hh, with great confirmation. The only reason he is for sale is I can not keep two horses.
Norbren was started by a professional WTC, each direction. I would recommend some professional training to continue to bring him back to work and headed in the right direction. He has had some time off as I have been focused on my other horse.... (read more) H would be a great amateur horse.
I have had him barefoot and trimmed regularly by a master farrier with no problems. He is respectful of his humans and has excellent ground manners. He is not heard bound, ties, crossties, bathes, and is an overall easy keeper. He loads like a dream on a trailer, see video. His biggest fault is being a bit aggressive with his grain.
Our start together was in Saddleseat, we then got addicted to Dressage. He is much happier doing this discipline. There is tension from his saddleseat days that I have not been able to work out while I’m learning this sport too. Norbren trail rides and has been on many. He enjoys being a follower not a leader, although he will do it.
He loves being groomed and attention. He is always at the gate ready to go do whatever, He’s a real lover. Generally, unphased by life. If you want to feel safe and enjoy your ride, he’s for you.
PPE are welcomed and encouraged. No rads on file currently because he has always been as solid as a linebacker. I have never had a reason to rad.
We are located in Norwalk, Iowa. Just South of Des Moines. Close to DSM airport. Thanks for looking.
