Said to be Arabian, but she doesn't flag her tail. She was a mercy bail out of Stroud, OK pen in June 2022. She has one heck of a story, which I can happily share. When she arrived (after quarantine), she laid down and I worried she wouldn't/couldn't get back up. She was skin and bones, and completely shut down. Despite her condition, I saw a spark in her eye and a will to live. It was taken the better part of a year to get her weight up, her coat is shiny and she is ready for her next, and final home.... (read more) She crossties, will stand for hours to be loved on and groomed. She would make an excellent equine emotional support pony, a sweet companion, a grandma's best friend, or a beautiful pasture puff to gaze at out your kitchen window. She is Snow White in winter and flea bitten in summer. She wonders around the property loose under supervision, living her best life munching grass. She hasn't taken an off step, and doesn't require any maintenance. I suspect she was a broodmare for many, many babies. She is a slow as molasses, and methodical. She is a sweet, gentle old soul. She is the absolute lowest lady in the herd, never one to put an ear back. She moves away from all shenanigans. I recently put a leadline saddle on her, which she handled with grace and kindness. She carted my 30lb almost 3 year old daughter around the property like a champ. However, when I put a 16" all purpose saddle on her and attempted to put my 9 year old, 90 lbs daughter on, she was not comfortable with that. The saddle fit perfectly fine; I think she felt the difference in weight and let me know she wasn't interested. Given her age, I feel it's fair and respect her "no". I believe in natural horsemanship, connection based training, and ground work and I would like her to go to a new home with similar methods. I don't need to sell her; finding her the right match is most important. She is about 15 hands, but appears a bit smaller. She is mid-late 20's in age. If she seems interesting to you, please send me a bit about yourself. Vet and farrier references required. She comes with a contract. She currently lives out in a herd, and comes inside for meals and inclement weather. Please contact me for more information, pictures and to schedule a time to meet this pretty lady. Asking $1500, reduced to $1250 to approved home.
