Atlas came to us in March as a skinny calm boy. He learned to take treats and trust us without much effort. He is the lowest of our herd's pecking order and as gentle and easygoing as they come. He is very tall and has a beautiful mane and soft eyes. He is beginner safe, more woah than go. He can trot with a ton of effort and encouragement. He is still working on gaining weight, but his teeth are good now, and he is healthy. He is so relaxed and easy that we ride him with a bitless bridle.... (read more) His only amount of testing his rider is that he wants to eat. He does well out riding alone and with a buddy. He is traffic safe, sane, and sound. My name is Amanda, and my husband is Mike. We rent a small horse farm and spend our free time buying, rehabbing, and training horses before reselling. I grew up with horses, starting, training, and breaking mine while in high school. I was a farmer's granddaughter and have little experience in 4H and showing and a lot of experience in trails and care. I went to college and after graduating, got right back into my hobby with Mike.... (read more) Mike is a fast study, on one of our first dates he was thrown on a mare in heat and taken on an adventure. He runs the business, financial, and hauling side of our partnership. We have three girls and they help care for the horses and expose them to giggles and squeals. Our farm is 15 minutes from two major vet offices and we have great relationships with them, our chiropractor and farrier.
