Dixie is an incredibly fun & versatile Haflinger mare who is 12 years old. She stands a stout 14.3hh, making her the perfect size for both kids and adults! Dixie is your been there, done that horse who comes with years of experience riding and driving. She is extremely well broke to ride walk, trot, canter and has seamless transitions both up and down. She has been ridden and shown English, western and bareback. Her gaits are as smooth as glass making her the perfect horse to ride around the property bareback.... (read more) Dixie is a brave horse with an excellent work ethic. We have used her for beginner lessons for kids learning how to post the trot and how to find their seat in the canter. She does wonderful riding inside of the arena as she is steady and well balanced. Dixie also does great riding next to loud traffic and adventuring out on the trails. She trailers like a pro and has been extensively trail ridden and river ridden in parks all over southeastern Michigan. She is not a nervous or spooky horse, in fact, she is a brave & quiet leader.
