Additional Comments
Honey is a 6yr quarter horse mare standing a stout 15hh. She is a head-turner with her glowing chestnut coat and stunning conformation. She was named Honey because she is the sweetest mare. So kind and gentle! Everything about her is easy and drama-free. Honey was purchased for a beginner kid that needed a comfortable, laidback horse after having a bad experience with a nervous horse. Honey has performed her job well, getting the beginner rider back on the horse and building confidence.... (read more) The kid has taken Honey trail riding alone and in a group, practiced trail obstacle, jumped x-rails, walk trotted the barrel pattern, and ridden Western and English WTC. Many times I have caught the kid pulling Honey out of the paddock and riding her bareback around the property walk, trot, canter in flip flops with no helmet. While I am normally a stickler for equine safety and always insist upon a helmet and close-toed shoes, it warms my heart to see the kid build so much confidence around horses again with this trustworthy mare. Honey is a very comfortable push ride, won’t go any faster than what the rider asks for. Easy to sit her smooth trot. Honey has been ridden by multiple children, adults of varying sizes, and an advanced beginner elderly woman. She loves people and loves having a job, but does not need to be in a work program. She is the same horse to ride whether you ride her once a week or once a month. Honey has had a great start and could excel in a wide range of disciplines. She has excellent ground manners, is easy to catch, ties and cross ties, and is easy to load and haul. No vices or maintenance. She is barefoot and up-to-date on shots, Coggins, deworming, floating, and hoof trimming. Honey is located in Webster, Florida – one hour from Ocala and Tampa. She is available for online bidding at PlatinumEquineAuction (dot) com now through May 21.
