Roxy is casually searching for a new home. It’s a very hard decision for us to make as she’s such a good girl and one of our star equine artists, however due to current circumstances we thought it’d be best to give her a chance to find her forever person sooner rather than later. Roxy is a 12yr old registered Rocky Mountain Horse (although she thinks she's a quarter horse) that is very handleable, good on the trails, and as healthy as they come.... (read more) She’s a solid 14.3hh and built sturdier than our other Rockies. She does not gait well, but is an excellent walk/trot horse with that ideal inbetween whoa and go energy. She listens to her cues very well and will stop on a dime if asked. She can canter but one of her leads will need to be worked on as our theory is that she doesn’t know the difference between it and her “gait” (she’ll give you a 4-beat, sometimes evenly timed but never evenly spaced canter/rack). She has experience out on the state-park trails and has proven to be one of our safest trail horses. She has been ridden out alone for the last year without issue but is more confident when ridden out with others. She loves liberty, bridleless riding and painting sessions the most and would be excellent for someone wanting to practice these things or enter the world of positive reinforcement based horse training. Roxy is a very very easy keeper and has nice solid feet that we’ve kept bare. She is up-to-date on vaccinations and has a recent coggins. The right home is an absolute must for her.
