This beautiful Tennessee Walking Horse filly (who we are calling Lulu) is a red dun and also roan! This color combination is quite unique and rare. Lulu has a small star on her forehead, otherwise no white. She is the traditional dorsal stripe and color-dipped ears. We will know more about other primitive markings after she sheds her baby coat.... (read more) The roan gene will have a lightening effect on her body coat color. Her legs and face should be darker. Lulu is an active, curious, and friendly foal. She has great conformation and is naturally gaited!

Lulu will receive regular foal training until she finds a new home. This training consists of a series of foal-level groundwork exercises and daily handling which ensures that she'll be easy to handle, easy to catch, respectful, safe and ready to move into a new role upon weaning. Her mama is very friendly and is teaching her baby to be the same way. We've had fun working with Lulu and we make a little progress every day. 

From a breeding perspective, Lulu will pass on her dun and/or roan gene 50% of the time. Depending on the stud, Lulu could produce some beautiful and unique foals.

Lulu should finish out at 15 hh.

Red Hot Playboy is out of Silky's Playboy / Blue Tunes. He's homozygous roan - 15.1hh
Dun it in Red is out of I'm Dunbelievable L.S. / Watchout for Danica Dun. She's a red dun - 15hh
Both parents have impressive pedigrees (see images included). Even more importantly, both have wonderful temperaments that you'll see in this adorable filly.

Lulu will be available upon weaning in mid-September. A $500.00 deposit holds her until then. Her dam, Dun it in Red, may also be available in a package deal available sooner (could also be bred back for a 2024 foal).
