Pinto Miniature Horse Gelding AMHA/AMHR registered. Pistol is great with my kids and has done birthday parties and a nursing home visit. He is a true gem with kids. He will always go out of his way to say hi to a child. One time my young son was jumping him and fell down. Pistol did not step on him and stood there patiently waiting! We love to dress him up in numerous costumes and will send one with him.

He does leadline rides and leadline cart rides.... (read more) His former owner used to drive him on trails, but I find he is a bit barn sour when driving on trails and wants to go back to the trailer so he would need more training to be a trail buddy. We dress him up and cart the kids around leadline, which he happily does. Pistol has been shown at a couple of AMHR and AMHA shows by my 4 yr old son.

Pistol is prone to itchy skin so we feed him Seminole Senior feed and he does well. He did not do well on Strategy and other corn-based feeds, so I think he may have a corn allergy. He is an easy keeper, stands like a pro for the farrier, has a current Coggins, and is up-to-date on dental, hooves, and shots.

Pistol does not like to be alone, so he would need to have a friend. For example, if we take him some place new, he whinnies for his friend. He would do best in a home with at least one other mini horse.
