Lyra is a 2007 OTTB, jockey club name Gold Baby Slippers. She was rescued a couple years ago from a farm in arkansas. She was a broodmare for most of her life. She has been ridden twice by me and she seems to have had training from before (she is tattooed so likely raced). She needs a home with light work or as a pasture companion. She is very easy to deal with on the ground but can be a little difficult to catch (she comes right up to treats). She is utd on vaccines, coggins, dewormer, and farrier.... (read more) She is brave and has a good brain but needs someone patient and kind to bring her along. I would love to keep her but I am in vet school and need to be relaistic about how many horses I can handle.
