OJ has been used as a lesson horse recently for intermediate beginners and up. He is very comfortable to ride. He can sit and be the same horse the next time you pull him out. You can tack him up and get right on, no lunging needed. This horse can go in absolutely any direction! Ranch riding, gymkhana, jumping, etc. He has been started on the barrel and pole pattern. Dana Mendoza, HHERR's founder, has always had a go for situations like this, rescuing and bettering the lives of horses. She believed that being in a position to help the influx of cases due to the changing economy would be the best option. So with this in mind, she came up with the initial idea to make HHERR a reality to handle these cases and also provide relief to both humans and horse in these situations. Since then, with the help from the community, the rescue continues to grow and help more people and horses.
