New prospect ready to re-home!!
Willow is a grade, 2018 (unknown DOB), bay roan, quarter horse mare. Her ground training started Jan/Feb 2022 (when I obtained her). Was riding her by May 2022. Continued working her throughout the year under the western, reining, discipline. Had her in the mountains a couple of times. Continued to work, ground drive and ride her for further desensitizing, into January, until weather changed that I had to stop for the year.... (read more)
She requires a professional hand. Not for beginners. Her training needs to continue with trust building, desensitizing. Has been exposed to bags, flags, tarps, etc. Has all the basics down pat. Will need a refresher into the start of this year. Ground work, before riding and then build up from there. She is not a mare you can rush steps with.
If you are looking for a horse that's already started and where you can start building up to a certain potential, get her riding to where you'd like her to be, then she is one to consider.
Handles her feet well. Has not required shoes yet. Dewormed and vaccinated on a regular routine. Trailers and loads really well!! Not the dominant mare in a herd. Has a very quiet, calm, demeanor about her.
I have more picture and videos if requested.
Please contact me with any questions.
Only serious takers. Her training will continue until sold. Price will increase as that happens. I don't know her full potential just yet, but I will continue to keep working her under reining skills.
