This young mare is the perfect size for nearly any rider. If you are looking for a flashy, smart, and safe mare, look no further.Indie is quiet the unicorn, she has all of the right markings and such kind eyes but aside from her perfect looks, Indie is such a sweetheart. She loves to be pampered and enjoys the extra attention. She comes right up to you in a field. Indie stands in cross ties to be groomed. She is phenomenal for the farrier, she does not require shoes but has been shod with borium. This girl requires absolutely zero maintenance and is on no supplements or special feeds. Under Saddle, Indie is happy to go to work and enjoys learning new things. She is willing and always puts her best foot forward. She has three very comfortable and floaty uphill gaits followed by an easy stop when asked. She went beautifully over fences a few years ago but then had a lot of time off from jumping, she has recently been restarted over obstacles and she is going over them with confidence. She is full of scope, doesn’t rush a fence or rush after landing. She has a big and comfortable jump to her. She is not one to take advantage of a nervous or unbalanced rider. Indie has a light mouth and responds well to leg and seat. This girl can be left to sit for months at a time and no warm up is required. She has always been a reliable horse for us. She has no buck, bolt, rear or any other nasty habits. ?On the trail, Indie is a dream. She is confident and reliable. Indie has tons of trail miles under her belt mainly trailering off of the farm. She will cross streams, bridges, ditches, mud, roots, rocks, and more. Indie will hack out both English and western. She is happy to hack out alone or in a group. She will gladly lead, follow, or ride in the middle of a group. This beautiful girl is safe crossing roads with heavy traffic if you need to cross a busy road for any reason. ?In the barn, Indie is a doll. She stands in cross ties, stands to be groomed and bathed. She stands to be tacked and takes a bit with no problems. She will stand all day to be groomed and loved on. She is happy to be in or turned out 24/7. She has no bad stall manners when she’s in. In a herd, she is a loner and is generally by herself or with one or two buddies. She is not the boss in the field but she isn’t the lowest on the totem pole. Under harness, Indie is just as simple and honest as she is under saddle. This girl will stand wonderful for you to harness and hook her, she will back into shafts or let you pull the cart up to her. Indie has absolutely striking movement in the cart and will always catch everyone’s eye. Indie will happily go down the road and stop at stop lights and signs or take a nice stroll around the farm, she is safe, reliable and fun under harness. And the best part about this girl is that you don’t need a set of blinders to drive her! She drives just as nice in an open bridle! Indie has had several foals and has always been a wonderful mother. She has easy births with nice, healthy, and correct foals. She would make an incredible broodmare addition to any Dutch or draft cross breeding program. She will add athleticism, action, and personality to your program. Not to mention, look at how well this girl is put together!
