"Sierra" is a 2009 AQHA mare with foundation pedigree as classic as they come! You can't get better than a true roan with old fashioned bloodlines!

Sierra came to us after being used as a ranch horse. She has roped pasture cattle and was used to sort herds. When she wasn't earning her keep there, the family used her as a Junior rodeo horse.... (read more) You can tell this girl has a gas pedal when asked, and I am sure their kids had a blast with that. She has gorgeous, SMOOTH, floating gaits. She breaks at the poll and rides off with her face in your hands like one should.

On the trail you can drop your rein and she walks off carefree. She had been used to pack elk in the past, and really finds herself to be surefooted. We've desensitized her against everything we can: flapping the tarp, carrying flags, and bouncing the yoga ball around her without any type of spook - you can tell she is "been there, done that".

This mare is sweet in the pasture and easy to navigate on the ground. She could go back to the arena, spend her life on the trails, or go back to having a day job. As long as she is getting used, she is happy!
