"Tivio" is a very well broke gelding that anyone can ride, he was used on a feedlot and has done ranch work. Tivio was used to doctor cattle, rope and drag cattle to the fire, push cattle onto trailers, and sort pairs. Tivio rides with a loose one hand neck rein and has a good backup, stop and side pass. Tivio has no problem opening/closing gates, carrying a flag, he will walk down streams, over fallen trees, he is used to heavy equipment and their sounds, we have a construction company next door and he is used to all their heavy equipment (i.e. dump trucks, semi's, lawnmowers, track hoes, etc.) He has no problem walking up/down steep ditches and ravines, he will go anywhere you point him, thru thick brush, in the woods with no spook. He will ride the same way every time you ride him whether it be once a week, once a month, or once a year.
Tivio stands still for being saddled/bridled, clipped, groomed, being sprayed for flies, putting on a fly mask, picking his feet, being mounted (from the ground or a mounting block), the vet/farrier, while standing tied, he loads well and hauls well. He is easy to catch, is gentle, and has great ground manners. He is kid and dog friendly and gets along with all of our other horses (mares and geldings alike).
Tivio would be a great prospect for; ranch sorting team, team penning, ranch rodeo, break away, goat tying, play days, drill team, barrels, poles, grand entry, parades, polo, trail riding, queens contest, walk-trot, lead line, 4H/FFA, or as a lesson horse.
Tivio is a beautiful, dark bay gelding standing 14.2hh with minimal markings (he just has a small star and a partial coronet), a handsome face with a kind eye. He has good conformation, a strong thick neck, nice withers, a straight back, a wide chest, and hip. All complimented with a beautiful mane, forelock and a nice thick long tail that almost touches the ground. He is the perfect size for easier mounting. He has a good mind and learns quickly and has a good disposition, is smart enough to learn any type of job.
Pablos Tivio Star is by Doc Tivio Starlight and he is out of Pablos Rising Star, who is by Pablo San, He also has Junior Starlight, Gray Starlight, Double Tough Doc, Peppy San and Docs Superstar on his papers. He has a lot of nice breeding, goes back to Poco Tivio, Doc Bar, Leo, and Peppy San Badger. He is bred to be a cowhorse delux.
