If you are looking for a super solid, trail or ranch horse, you have just found him! Oz is a super nice, well put together 9 year old, 15.2 hand black gelding. He has excellent conformation, big feet and good withers. Oz is a gentle and forgiving kind of horse and is user friendly to ride. He has a comfortable trot, takes his leads and has a good stop. (read more) From busy neighborhood streets to rugged rocky trails, he’s always solid and dependable. He is unconcerned about fast passing trucks and cars, farm animals, barking, charging dogs or anything else that we ride past in our neighborhood. On the trails, you couldn’t ask for a more solid citizen either. He will confidently lead, respectfully follow or ride quietly in any position of a large group as well as out on his own. Crosses the river, streams, downed timber or anything else we point him at. He is extremely sure footed and dependable in steep, rocky terrain. This horse is beginner, friendly, and is always gentle. Oz has been used regularly on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including doctoring, yearlings, branding calves, sorting and loading trucks. He has been started in the team roping on the head side with lots of potential to make a great head horse if you wanted. He has also been used for dragging bulls at several bull riding‘s. He will be an asset for whatever you want to do a horse back. Gets along well turned out with mares and or geldings and is fine to be stalled or in a pen. Oz has no bad habits or vices. Good to tie, bathe, shoe, load and haul. 100% safe sane and sound. This is a really good solid horse and we can’t say enough good about Sold! Sorry you missed him.
