Sage is a titled 4 year old mustang mare from the Pine Nut HMA in Nevada. She stands at a well built 13.2hh with the best mane and coat I have ever seen. I have done extensive ground work with her, using the Warwick Schiller method. She has been extremely responsive to it and I would hope her new home is either familiar or researches his training style.

She is on her 20th ride, learning to stand quietly for mounting, disengaging hindquarters, flexing laterally for relaxation, moving forward at walk & trot.... (read more) She has not offered a buck or bolt and is ready to be taken in whatever direction.

This mare is a LOVEBUG once you gain her trust. The bond I have created with her is unlike any I’ve had before. She is not herd bound or buddy sour and easy to catch with a few treats.

She is sensitive and highly aware, and when she does “spook” or react, it is in a very smart, non explosive way. Good for a gentle farrier and will load in a trailer. I regularly hand walk her back on the trails and she is very brave and curious.

UTD on coggins, shots, and farrier. She will require an experienced handler or someone familiar with mustangs to finish her. I will continue working and riding her until she finds a new home.
