Families NEVER receive a bill for treatment with St. Jude so they are able to focus on recovery and being together as a family. We do this every time we sell a horse, in hopes that more families are able to get the medical resources they need, without the tremendous burden of endless medical bills weighing them down. We have chosen Brisket to be our St. Jude ambassador in the hopes that we may help even just one family bring home a healthy child.
Another awesome perk to this gelding, is he has a FULL, current, CLEAN set of x-rays and pre-purchase exam, AND a FANTASTIC transport company, Branded A Equine Services, has also graciously offered the new owner of Brisket 50% off his transport fees! The remaining 50% will be donated to St Jude as well! Talk about a gelding with the ability to change many lives!
We call this gorgeous gelding, Brisket, and he fits his name to a T! He is a 14.3 hand tall, 8 year old gypsy quarter horse cross gelding, who got the best of both breeds! He has the conformation of a quarter horse, the mane and tail of a gypsy, and the outstanding temperament of both breeds wrapped up in one adorable gelding!
We have used Brisket all over the ranch and he has proven to be the horse we pick day in and day out. He is an absolute joy to ride and makes daily life on the ranch a breeze! Brisket has pasture roped sick calves, he will ride out on his own away from the barn without a peep, he likes to get out and enjoy the ride as much as you, he has drug a million calves to the fire and is as quiet and calm as you could ever ask for! You can brush the snow off his back on the coldest days, cinch your saddle down tight, and ride right off knowing he won’t lay a toe out of line. You would be very hard pressed to find a safer gelding to trust your family with.
Brisket is well versed in the arena as well! He has played around the barrel pattern a few times (he isn’t going to top the 1D, but he’s a good starter horse for your little one itching to ride!) He has a super smooth walk and trot, and squeezes into a nice little lope easily. His lope is a hair more forward if asked, but he will rate to whatever speed you prefer to go. He has carried a flag, played with a kite on a windy day, meanders in the creek and LOVES the water, and is an absolute saint on the trail. He is accustomed to gunfire, dogs, wildlife, and town life. He has been to Las Vegas to see the bright lights and took it all in stride!
Brisket will also go to his new family with a St Jude bit, headstall, and reins CUSTOM made specifically for him and his new family so he is ready to ride the minute he arrives! The bit is shown in his photos and fits him PERFECTLY!
We truly can’t fault this gelding and he will be impossible to replace, but knowing he could help a family fall in love with horses, means the world to us!
