It's been a while since we've had such a fun-minded young gelding to work with! Introducing FF Chief Four Socks (Spring Hollow's Majic x FF Unique, by FF Apollo) a registered 3yo Percheron gelding. If you're in the market for a fun minded, sweet, talented young horse to bring up on your own for a riding/ driving partner this boy is one to consider! Four socks recieved 60 days of training for under saddle work last fall and is currently being started in harness and has had his first few drives on the cart.... (read more) He has such a fantastic brain - eager to learn new things and tends to process new and scary environments before reacting; making our job as his teacher much easier and more fun. While Four Socks is quite tall, currently measuring in the 18.1-2hh range, he is very sporty and athletic in his gaits. He would be a beautiful partner for someone wanting to show- from Dressage to Pleasure driving, his movement and looks would make him one we'd consider. With how laid back he is both in harness and under saddle, we think he would also be a good candidate for carriage work in town or potentially as a police mount with further training. We will be continuing his lessons, both in harness and under saddle while he is here.
He is excellent in the stable; standing quietly in crossties for his hoof appointments, as well as clipping, bathing, grooming (including vacuuming), stall manners are excellent. He is good for trailer loading and hauling, UTD on all cares.
