Spade's show record speaks for his confirmation. Even pictured at 17 years old his quality shows through. In the above photos, he is in pasture condition. Correct hooves and legs, long sloping shoulders, great length of neck and hip, dark, well-set eyes, and small ears all contribute to his pleasing look. His disposition puts him in another class altogether! He is patient and willing to all that handle him. He is a favorite of the barn! As a sire, he puts foals on the ground nicer than himself. This was said by a judge as we were showing both Spades and his 3-month-old colt in the same class. His colt was placed above him. We have been very impressed by everything he has put on the ground for us both in conformation, color, disposition, and trainability.

Sids Rebel needs little introduction if you have any knowledge of Miniature Horse breeding. He was Reserve National Champion and Get of Sire, in 1997 and 1999. Spade's paternal grand dam, Timber Ridges Rio Eclipse is a granddaughter of the immortal Rowdy. Rowdy was sired by Kewpie's Sun out of Kewpie Doll's Oracle, a pure Shetland! He is the sire of numerous National and Reserve National Champions. His blood still runs through some of the winningest horses in the show ring.
