Hi there, I will have several video links at the bottom of this description. :D I would like to introduce you to Legend! One of the most incredible horses I have had the pleasure of riding! If you are looking for SAFE, SOUND and SANE this is 100% the guy for you! Legend undoubtedly lives up to his name, he is one of the very best horses I have been around, he has the calmest dog like demeanor, he stands about 15 hands maybe 15.1 he probably weighs every bit of of 1400 pounds!... (read more) He is as wide as he is tall! :D His size doesn’t stop him from being able to move fast WHEN he is asked! Legend definitely has more whoa then go but he will 100% pick up his pace the minute you ask him but if not you can relax and lay the reins on his neck regardless of where you are going with another horse or by himself his first choice is to walk! Legend isn’t buddy sour, goes any direction you point his nose, crosses huge logs, creeks, loves the water, rides down the highway, I have a video on YouTube of cop cars with their lights on flying past us and I did NOT have a bridle on him! I was riding him with just a rope around his neck walking down Main Street and he never even looked in the direction of the flying cop cars and was completely unfazed! Also a video of me again without a bridle on him at the gas station standing up on him swinging a rope and then riding him down main st again and riding him up and down stairs then back to the gas station! I cannot describe how amazing this guy is and you have to meet him to really appreciate how incredible and one of a kind he is. I also have a video of where I accidentally roped Legends back foot while walking down a rode in town using headlamps because it was so dark outside. Absolutely zero buck, bite or spook, I asked kids at a park while we were riding in town if they would dribble a ball beside and around him and he didn’t care about that either! Legend doesn’t get worked up over anything! He has been in several parades, been on overnight trail rides, he ground ties, pony’s other horses, works cattle, he has been pasture roped on a LOT, been to lots of sortings, been in a box a few times roping both ends, I am currently giving lessons on him every week with very beginner 8 and 9 year old girls and he is just incredible with them! He has a wonderful smooth lope, stands for farrier, stands tied, stands to mount from BOTH sides, neck reins, moves off leg pressure, backs beautifully, open and close gates on him, ANYTHING you want to do this big beautiful guy will do it! I am starting training him to shoot off of him and have started him on bullwhips and will post videos next time I have someone to video for me! I specialize in training and selling family safe, dog like, loving horses! I was born riding horses and started training personal horses at about 8 years old and then other people’s horses when I was 12 years old.
I only charged $400 per month and that included their feed! Oh, how times have changed!... (read more) I have had countless injuries and hospital visits caused from the many different horses I was so incredibly addicted to training growing up! Many of the horses we had, were marketed or portrayed to be “Kid Safe" "Bombproof" “Grandma Safe” If we ever meet, you’ll see at least a few of the scars I ended up with from those “Safe” horses because the scars are on my face…….
I have many more scars and have broken or fractured every limb at least once, broken ribs, dislocations, concussions, tailbone broken TWICE and many stories if anyone would ever like to hear them or see some of the scary and gross pictures, I’m always happy to share!
My poor parents had many hospital trips and an expensive ambulance ride or two, medical bills and according to my poor momma a whole lot more stress and worry than any mother deserves! There were also lots of times my momma was cleaning up my wounds at home too. And unfortunately for me, now being in my thirties, I am paying the price every single day throughout my body for all those injuries and sometimes depending on how long I ride for or what I’m doing on the horses I could be in bad shape physically for a few days and in a lot of pain if I’m not careful. It’s awful to live with and that’s one of the many reasons I do what I do and sell the horses I do! I try my best to help prevent bad stories like mine for other people and help them get good quality horses that suit them and their needs. After many years of learning about horses, as well as some unlearning of a few things, I now have the experience and ability to identify which horses are suitable for families and which ones are not and within an incredibly short amount of time! I am extremely picky about the horses that I personally buy to sell or that I consign to sell because it takes a special type of horse to be or to make into a good family or beginner safe horse! I am also ALWAYS here for questions that you may have even AFTER you have purchased your horse from me! I personally ride every horse extensively so that I can do my best to make sure I’m able to identify and or correct any issues one might have in order to place them with their suitable forever families!
My goal is ALWAYS to suit the right horse or horses with the right level of rider, to ensure the horses have good forever homes and my buyers are extremely happy and are as equipped as possible with everything they and their horse needs for their forever success and happiness with their new family! I sell multiple horses to families that I pair or fit together who ride well together, get along with each other etc. As well as supply all the tack you’ll need that fits you and your horse, so you are 100% ready to go ride once you get them home! If you do not purchase a horse from or through me and would like advice about one that you found, I am happy to help you and give you my honest and unbiased opinion and will travel to look at and ride the horse for you that you are interested in if you’re worried about buying something that won’t fit your needs. I want to see people enjoy good horses and if I can help prevent a bad situation by providing advice, I am happy to help! Just because someone has been riding all their life or has been selling horses doesn’t qualify them to sell “Family Safe Horses” it takes years to be able to identify things and can be extremely dangerous purchasing from someone who has just decided to sell their horse. It is especially important that you are experienced and know what to look for or that you purchase from someone experienced, reputable and honest because one bad horse could cost you more than you ever want to imagine. Be careful in your search and please do not hesitate to call or text me if there is anything I can help you with again, EVEN if that means that you don’t purchase a horse from me! I mean that genuinely! Most of my customers are now close friends, some of them insist on being bonus grandparents to my 2 small children and that makes me very proud. 150 acres to ride on, we accept a few outside horses a year who need trained or a tune up, but this is seasonal and spots usually fill quickly.
We have cattle that graze one of our 80-acre pastures,
and you are welcome to take your horse out there to push them around or to get your horse familiar with cattle so long as you are accompanied by one of experienced ranch hands.
