"Stormy" is one of those geldings that everyone loves to have in their barn -- he's quiet, friendly, and you can pull him out to go do just about anything you feel like that day!

Stormy is by Smart Badger Lano (NCHA/NRHA/AQHA money producing son of Smart Little Lena) out of an own daughter of Smart Mate.... (read more) Stormy has spent the majority of his life learning a little bit of everything: reining, cow work, ranch pleasure and trail to become a well rounded, versatile horse to enjoy. He has been on several trail riding excursions and been shown in ranch versatility classes as well, where he excels in the ranch pleasure and ranch trail with his willing, easy going presence. Stormy has also been used as a turn back horse at cutting and cow horse events, ponies, young colts and other horses down the road or around the arena, and can be your right hand man to open gates and sort/move cattle too.

He goes over every obstacle we've put in front of him, and is overall just a really fun gelding to have around! Stormy ties, cross ties, and ground ties, hops in the trailer and backs out well, clips, bathes, and stands great for the farrier (note: Stormy has a crack in his left front hoof that has never caused any soundness issues but is always present). He has fantastic ground manners and we have started doing some at liberty ground work also, which he really seems to enjoy. Stormy is honest, willing & responsive under saddle with all of the buttons - easy lope departures, stops, spins, side passes, two tracks, etc.
We feel he is best suited to intermediate riders and up due to all of the buttons/maneuvers he is capable of. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about this great gelding.
