Additional Comments
Charlotte’s Web (Charlie) is a 14.2 hh approx. 8 yr old strawberry roan grade pony. Exact age/breed unknown.
Leased by a junior rider for some time as a young horse, Charlie competed in and excelled in the Jumper ring, but unfortunately came up lame last year and has just finished rehab. She has been cleared for low level dressage work at this time. Charlie is not a beginner/straightforward ride when it comes to proper work, and is not the kind of pony that can be pushed around; she expects respect and excels working in a partnership.... (read more) She is, however, safe enough for first time riders in leadline and round pen settings. Charlie is extremely talented and athletic, and was happy and able to perform first level movements straight out of rehab. Very polite on the ground, a little enthusiastic about lunging. She is also intelligent and brave, though she can be looky at times, she is willing to work through most any circumstance so long as she’s given a chance. Charlie had beautiful flying changes, flexibility, and rideability prior to lameness, and is a joy to ride when she is at peak condition, but is still building up strength at this time. At this time, her current focus in training is maintaining consistency through contact, particularly as we increase her workload and fitness. Charlie is horse dominant/aggressive when loose with other horses, and it is not recommended to be kept in a herd environment. This said, regular turnout would be required for any interested parties.
Ideally, Charlie would stay in the Bay Area, and would love a leaser looking to join her current program. She is also available to an individual in an already established program in the Orange County area or Bay Area.
$7,500 for the year, $625 per month
