Jacquelyn Ferrari (Jackie) is a beautiful, well-bred, chocolate 2019 Rocky Mountain Filly. She is registered with the Rocky Mountain Horse Association (RMHA #2021486897). She was started under saddle last year with ethical, and scientifically backed training methods (a lot of positive reinforcement). She was trained in and preforms well in just a bitless bridle and we've never been concerned about her taking off with a rider. She is easy-going for her age and is very intelligent, as she is always coming up with new games to play in her stall.... (read more) She absolutley loves liberty training and has recently been learning how to give bridle-less rides. She does not have any vices or behavioral concerns at the moment. She picks up a correctly timed 4 beat gait when asked and on a loose rein, however this is a skill she's still working on maintaining, at the moment its a bit slow. Although she has been doing great for her age she is still young and not fully physically or emotionally developed, and therefore her ideal person would be a confident intermediate to advanced horseperson who is familiar with gait training and employs a training method free of harsh punishment. When worked with in an appropriate manner she tries really hard, can be very sensitive to cues and likes to gives you a lot of behaviors to reinforce. Between her excellent conformation, calmer disposition and enthusiasm towards learning we believe that this little filly has what it takes to make a once in a lifetime kind of horse! She's healthy, kept barefoot, and up-to-date on all care and vaccines. The right home is a must, with preference for someone willing to continue her positive reinforcement based training.
