Meet Willa!!

Willa is an approx 13.1hh 6 y/o Haflinger mare. She is barefoot with good feet. Willa started her life out as an Amish driving pony and has recently transitioned into working under saddle. Willa has approximately 120 days under saddle and is currently WTC and going over poles. Willa has exceptional ground manners and has had a year + of ground work and desensitizing put into her prior to her start under saddle.... (read more) Willa stands very well on the crossties for grooming and baths, stands for the farrier, loads on the trailer easily and ships well. Willa is by far one of the most pleasant ponies that I have had the opportunity to develop. Willa is an incredibly quick learner, very brave, has a soft mouth, stands at the mounting block, and is as patient and kind as can be. Absolutely NO mare-ish behavior and is not on any hormones! Want to groom a pony for hours on end in the crossties? Willa is your girl! I really cannot say enough good things about this pony. While Willa is not for a beginner just yet, she will develop into an excellent junior or amateur pony. Willa is safe enough to be developed by a qualified junior or amateur in a professional program. Willa is still an open book and can go in any direction - though I think she’d make an excellent hunter/jumper prospect, low level eventing/dressage/cross country prospect, or pony club prospect. If you’re looking for a young, exceptionally well started, green pony - then Willa is for you!!!
