We are proud to introduce Bitty for your consideration. Bitty is a 14.2h grade 3-year-old filly (coming 4 in 2023). We believe she is a Missouri Fox trotter cross (possibly part QH); we are awaiting her DNA results. She was rescued at the end of 2020 by Raven Wood acres and came to them in poor condition. She has grown into a beautifully built little mare and is a true joy to be around. She has the personality of a dog - 100% a pocket pony. Bitty is incredibly smart and wants to have a job.... (read more) She has recently started training with us and has proven to be level-headed, clever, quick thinking, and very willing. She retains the information well and picks up right where she left off the following session. She has started learning to lunge and goes reasonably well in both directions. She offers a beautiful solid walk, what I believe to be a foxtrot, has just started offering a few steps of trot here and there, and a cute canter. She is good on the ground - Bitty is familiar with cross-tying, picks up her feet, leads well, enjoys a nice grooming, and is well-behaved for saddling. We have just started teaching her how to accept a rider. So far, she has been incredibly well-mannered and is getting more confident standing at the mounting block and having a rider lay over her. She has walked a few steps with a rider's weight and has been well-behaved; she has not offered any buck, rear, bolt, etc. Bitty loves to do new things and is a quick study. She has a cute jump and loves to walk over ground poles. She enjoys going around barrels and playing games. She loves to figure out what you're asking and has an incredibly long attention span. She is a firecracker of a mare and has a great brain. She could excel in any discipline and continue her training in any direction! She is excited to find her perfect match where she can continue her training and have lots of fun! Reach out with any questions and to set up a time to meet her.
