Located in Delta, CO. Solid been there done that Registered TWH paint mare with one blue eye. 14.2 hands. 17 years old. Never had shoes and never been lame. UTD on vaccines, dewormer due in January, just had her teeth floated in October, and the chiropractor just put her in on 11/16/22. Well taken care of and been an easy keeper for weight. Solid and well built, zero soundness problems.
Neck reins, knows your leg cues, side-passes, pivots, opens gaits, carries flags, been in parades, picks up both leads, gaited and, once you get to know her, she is steady in all 5 gaits.... (read more) Flat Walk is VERY smooth! Baths, ties, loads, but prefers to turn around in a trailer to get out, so a rear tack could be problematic. Well mannered on and off the ground, gets along with most other horses, and very level headed.
Been in parades (both day parades and night time Christmas parades), carried flags at rodeos, amazing trail horse, has pushed cows, and very much a go-getter! Noises, new places, wind, and works haven’t bothered her.
She is forward and walks out, so it could be intimidating for a beginner depending on the rider. No buck or rear, but if you pull too much for her liking, she’ll fight a bit at the face. We are looking for a horse that LIKES drill and we are finding that Tennessee isn’t a fan. She will tolerate it but pushes back when asked for SHARP turns at a lope and staying side by side through turns with other horses. We know she is talented and someone’s dream horse, so we don’t want to hold her back from a better fitting home.
