Tall, dark, and handsome, Registered Friesian Percheron Sport Horse Gelding! This gorgeous, crossbred gelding is 4 years old and measures just over 16hh. BH Emperor’s Starwin affectionately know as “Star”, is what dreams are made of. With his fantastic conformation, gorgeous mane and forelock, beautiful movement and loving personality, he is destined for big things. Starwin has what it takes! As a two year old, Star was broke to drive and slowly broke to ride.... (read more) He was bred out of a Percheron mare and a flashy Friesian stud in MO. He has had extensive flatwork training inside the arena and out. He will walk, trot, canter on a loose rein for hunters or collect into a frame for dressage or even ride bridleless. He rides nicely off your seat and leg and has a soft mouth. Star is schooling lower level dressage, he knows all his basic lateral movements, knows his leads, flying changes, leg-yielding etc.. He has three wonderful gaits from a slow walk to a trot you can sit and a fluid and comfortable lope. He is happy to go slow yet will gladly move out if you like. He is not a horse you need to puncture a lunge to get going. On his days off from schooling we love going for trail rides or driving him around town. He is fearless! He will cross anything, go under or over any obstacles and ride down the busy road like a champ. While out on the trails should you fall off don’t worry, he will gladly move to a rock or stump to pick you up. He has mastered all the Western basics, he has a great stop, back up, lateral work, neck reins, side passes etc. Star even has a few tricks we have taught him. We started doing some Liberty work with him as well. Star is so receptive and willing and loves his one on one training sessions. He is good with traffic and does not mind riding out alone. He has been hauled all over for trail obstacle practice, riding lessons, local shows and an occasional hunter pace. Star is super talented and he could easily shine in dressage, equitation, eventing, or trail competition. He is extremely versatile and will excel in any discipline! Star Not only is he talented he is a barn favorite. He has excellent manners and a sweet, willing and loving temperament, a lot like a large Labrador. He could easily be brought along by a beginner or any level rider. He is fancy enough for the experienced rider yet gentle enough for a child. He is extremely forgiving, can take a joke and never has offered to buck, bolt or rear. Star gets along well with all his pasture mates. He spend most days outside. He is easy to load, haul, tack, bathe, braid, trim, etc. He is SOUND and up-to-date on everything with no maintenance. He is barefoot and an easy keeper. His diet consists of free choice hay, ration balancer, vitamin E supplement and of course a mineral block. He stays fat and healthy! Watch Video
