Diesel is a 15.1 13 year old gray gelding. He looks lighter in the winter with his full coat and darker in the summer. He does have dapples and some flea bitten marks around his neck and head. With age it is typical to loose the darkness with grey horses. He was bred for running, mainly barrels. I purchased him as a weanling and I've owned him ever since. He has been used for a wide variety of things. He has been used for barrels, poles, cross country endurance, trail riding, parades, flag horse, rodeos, kids 4-H, Queen horse, lesson horse, and a spare trail horse for new riders.... (read more) He is safe and reliable. He has become my back up horse if I need him. My kids have rode him a lot. He has rode bareback and in just a halter. He is sensitive, so no heavy hands are needed. Light pressure and he's happy. We ride using our legs and that's how he was taught.
He stands for farrier, bathing, teeth, vet work, vaccinations, blood work, etc. He loads and backs off. Treat motivated, absolutely! :)
Hes a good boy and I wouldn't normally have him for sale but I like to get projects in, young horses, and he's the odd man out most of the time. He's a good horse and would go any direction. A good home is required. I do have to have routine dentals done every 6 mo because he had a molar pulled few years back. He's healthy and strong, just needs the maintenance to stay that way. I do have him on a hoof supplement also. He's feed Nutrena Safechoice daily. He's on pasture and also gets a grass hay mixture as an idea on his diet.
