“Skippy” is 13 year old quarter horse gelding. He may not be a headturning color, but regardless, he is the sweetest, easiest going guy in our barn by far. When I need something reliable with a guaranteed same trip every time, this is the guy we pull from outside.

Tarps, ropes, cattle, puppies, tractors, cars, wildlife – none of it impacts this guy. He is a supreme trail horse – he is great with bridges, rocks, rivers, roads, and traffic.

This guy came from an older gentleman, and was used as his “last” horse, until his back told him the days down the trail were no longer happening. You can ride him with a bridle or without one, inside an arena or out in the hayfield. He is the same – Every. Single. Time.

He is incredibly low maintenance – living outside on a round bale and barefoot all year round. He hauls well, clips well, stands good for the farrier. He is the horse you throw guests on for their once in a lifetime ride, and the same horse you saddle up yourself and simply enjoy every day.
