2018 OTTB gelding for consideration. Nico (JC Name: Vigo) stands a hair under 16 hands. He has been brought along by an adult amateur rider and is incredibly straightforward to ride. He came to me in March straight from the track, and the next day/his first ride, he was trotting around my arena on the buckle. He does well in a consistent program, and doesn't get silly after a couple days off. Nico trail rides alone or in company, loads and ties well, and is the same horse off property.... (read more) He's been to numerous off site venues for schooling shows, cross country, lessons, and trails. Everyone who has ridden this guy has loved him. Easy to come into the bridle and prefers a soft hand. Currently schooling training level dressage, and ready to show at entry/starter level eventing. Bold and brave to cross country fences. Although he's still green, he will make someone an incredible partner to finish off their own way. He would be an excellent prospect for a competent young rider or adult amateur! His only vice is he can be a bit claustrophobic, so he prefers to live outside, but does fine in the stall as long as he can see a buddy. Currently in front shoes only.
