UPDATE ON THIS ADD: Cowboy is a registered 15 year old finished head horse. We purchased this horse for the intent of trail riding only but we don't think he is cut out to be on the trails only. Since we originally posted him on this site, we have received numerous messages & phone calls from people who have requested videos of him being roped off of so we took him to a local arena to obtain these videos, which we do have. Now to start from scratch up unto this point.... (read more) When we purchased Cowboy, he had an injury to his back leg but we have a certified letter from LSU from a equine surgeon that states this injury will not cause any issues with him, it's strictly cosmetic. Now up to the arena standpoint.... we observed Cowboy getting very antsy when being backed into the corner of the box and his hips touching the corner panels. He did not offer to buck or rare, just slinging his head and clearly letting you know that he was uncomfortable being there. We now know how he injured his leg.... With this being said.... Cowboy has WONDERFUL ground manners and is VERY push button and knows his ques. He is very comfortable in the arena (just not being in the corner of the box) with all the noises, cattle running and making noises, gates slamming, dogs barking, kids screaming, loud speakers, trucks and trailers coming in and out --- he never flinches. You can sling a rope off of him, pony him, love on him --- What we are certain of... Cowboy would make a wonderful ranch horse pushing cattle. He's a big boy with a lot of motor. You can catch him anywhere. He stands to be groomed, for the farrier, and gets along well with our other horses. He is a curious gentleman and you won't find another that takes wormer as easy as this guy. So, if you are looking for a great seasoned ranch horse, here he is. If you are wanting a finished head horse, you will have to work through his issue. We are still ASKING $5500 for him since he is a very well trained horse but definitely open to all offers. We have videos of him in the arena and a lot of pictures. We are his second owner so he has not been passed around.
