AMHR 32.25" Buckskin 5 yr old mare. She has a counter shade dorsal stripe; her sire is a buckskin but registered as "dun" on AMHR papers (I know his lineage & it's not possible since neither of his parents are dun. Buckette's dorsal only shows part of the time - predominantly in her winter coat (looks very much a dun in winter) but it’s faint & 3/4 missing in summer - it IS countershading). She has a Buckskin Pinto dam that also does not have dun in her background.
Very nice pedigree - Buckeroo breeding top and bottom. Very sweet little mare. Catches in pasture- comes right to you without grain. Easy to handle, trim, deworm, trailers, etc. Always looking for attention! She's a great little mare that won't disappoint you! She's used to dogs of all sizes, people ranging from a newborn on up to my 80 yr old grandparents (my grandmother was permanently in a motorized wheel chair up until her passing this October 2022 & Buckette didn't mind one bit when grandma was around her, leading her etc.)- she respects everyone handling her. Used to all sorts of farm machinery - tractors, skid steers, backhoes, etc. She is also accustomed to living on a highway & has been worked with in the open arena which runs along the busy road. Pastured with other mini mares & foals, mini donkeys and a mid-sized donkey (she's smaller than a full size but is well over a mini), pastured next to beef cattle and then full size horses on the other side of her pasture. Calm, gentle, easy to handle. She's was started under saddle and harness a few years back. With continued riding lessons she's sure to become your next "babysitter". Minis like this don't come around often!
KID SAFE- a 5 yr old boy & his 2 yr old brother are always out in pasture playing with the minis DAILY & she's always there trying for his attention - they lead her around, etc. This little mare was started being ridden on lead line & under harness the summer of 2020 (only since ridden in the summer after foaling due to personal choice/time). She has not had a saddle on/bridle in mouth but I don't think she will mind she's that laid back. She'd also be great for therapy even though she's a bit taller than what is normally used for therapy.
Buckette foaled a TINY & CORRECT 19.5" tall; 7" cannon bone sorrel colt on 6/20/21! He's super cute and will mature at only 30" tall by both his birth measurements! He SOLD right away- His new family has aspirations to start a Therapy facility in the future!
Then in 2022 she foaled his full brother, again, without complications on her own, (smoky black - he's been SOLD).
She has been bred back the same way for 2023 to the 33" Palomino BILLY IDOL son/ Champion Farms Nighthawk grandson. He is a 3/4 brother to my Grand Champion Billy Idol son. The stallion is show caliber as well.
