Super nice, gentle, stout guy with a sweet disposition. He has pretty much done it all and been racking up the trail miles with us.
Was told he has done heeling and ranch work previously. Nice smooth lope, knows how to lope on a lose rein, neck reins, stops off your seat, moves his hind and forequarters, picks up his leads correctly. Rides double, bareback, carries flag. Loads and trailers great, good for farrier, bathing, stalls or turns out well(not dominate in pasture).... (read more) Would be a great ranch/obstacle, show horse. Will ride out alone or with others, no silliness, non complicated, beginner friendly or great husband horse. Has had lots of training with natural horsemanship, specifically The Method. Only "vice" I can say is that when throwing the saddle pad on he will shudder his side, he does not move around and this is just a habit he has developed as we have desensitized him, he is not mean about it. Not a medical issue just quirk he has. He is currently being ridden 5 days a week, so no legging up time is required. UTD on vaccines, teeth, coggins, shod all the way around. Sound, shod every 6 weeks, Bar shoe on back left as he got his foot caught in a stall in Sept 2021 so he does have a hoof defect, it is growing out nicely and should be grown out in the next 1-2 shoeings. Would be happy to have you talk to my farrier about it.
