Ramzes is a 16.2 hand, 10 yo Palomino Warmblood Gelding.
Ram is a fun, flashy & athletic ride. Ramzes has a powerful hind end, nice movement, and a lite uphill ride. He has basic lateral movements, a fantastic lead change & 3 comfortable correct gaits. His canter in particular is our favorite as it is strong, adjustable, and never heavy. We have taken him to sort cows, and I regularly hack him out alone on the easements around the property alone with no issues.... (read more)
Ramzes is obviously really really good looking, but he is so much more than that.
Ramzes has a powerful hind end, nice movement and light uphill ride. He is quietly funny, enjoys human company and will do most anything for a treat. His ground manners are generally good, easy to catch, groom, shoe, tie, lunge etc. He is great turned out in a group with Mares or Geldings and does well living in a field, paddock or a stall. He's an easy keeper and lives mostly on just some good hay and a few supplements. On the flat Ram is pretty great. He can bit a bit lazy but is easy to "wake up" . He has basic lateral movements, a fantastic lead change & comfortable gaits. We have taken him to sort cows, and I regularly hack him out alone on the easements around the 20 acre property we board at with no issues. Recently I took him to his first dressage show. We went straight from the trailer riding our test with no warm up and he did great.
That said he is not entirely simple. He HATES Jumping.... like really really really hates it. He can be fine jumping a few simple things in an environment he's comfortable in but anything more than that he panics.
Because he hates jumping so much we want him to go to people that don't jump. We are selling him so he can find a job he truly enjoys with a like minded owner. We think he would excel in alot of different areas such as Dressage, Western Dressage, Maybe Driving or even roping?
Ram can be a bit peeky on occasion (I think this will lessen as he forgets jumping) and as a result needs a confident intermediate and above rider.
