Dark Brown/Black mare. 11.2 h. Age- unknown. Previous owners were the typical horse swindlers you need to watch out for. I was told this girl is bomb proof. While she is gentle and I feel confident walking around her without getting bit or kicked, however I wouldn’t say she is bomb proof. I wouldn’t throw a saddle on her and let my kids ride her independently. She acts like she hasn’t been worked with in a while. However, I believe she would make a great youth horse.... (read more) Not a work horse though but one that will take you on pleasant trail rides and follow you around the yard. My children have sat on her bareback and she does fine. She halters and leads. A quick learner. Receptive to training.
We bought her from a home that could not give her the proper care she needed. We had intentions on buying one horse but due to her condition I couldn’t leave her there to be neglected much longer. She was skin and bones when we got her. Her color and personality is starting to shine through. It makes me sad to sell her because she is warming up to our family and has such a gentleness about her but I do not have the time or space for two horses. Plus we were told that she might be pregnant. This has not been confirmed.
I have given her several baths. She’ll do anything for food and a snack! She does not kick or bite and is low on the pecking order. She had horse bites and wounds on her when I first got her. She just needs someone to love her and to give her the security she deserves. She could easily be a “in your pocket” kind of companion. So much potential for this girl. May negotiate price and take a $$ loss to the perfect home.
