Miami Magic, 16.2hh 2017 TB Gelding, should finish 16.3. Classic bay with a nice shoulder and gorgeous head. Tons of presence and a lovely personality. Since leaving the track he’s just been getting some let down to gain some weight and adjust to farm life. He’s been with us a little over two months. Miami is an easy horse to have in the barn and live with. He pastures with other geldings and is easy going. He cross ties, loads / hauls well, good for bathing.... (read more) He had a light racing career of 12 starts with two wins but was not competitive in the harder conditions. He retired with no known injuries. This horse screams show hunter. He’s got a huge flat kneed trot and an uphill, balanced metronome canter. We sent him down the jump chute twice and he is a total natural. Easily finds his spots, is super brave and jumps a ten. Seriously a STUNNING mover with a jump to match! Given his temperament and way of going we think he’d be suitable for an amateur working with a trainer. We have recently done his first post track ride and he is as easy as they come. No prep, perfect to tack. Walk / trot / canter both directions. More whoa than go, very comfortable and smart! We did his second ride a few days later and he came out all business, remember everything we worked on prior. Despite being young, he is a total old soul. Learning to reach for the contact but will happily ride around on the buckle. Not spooky, no sillies. Miami’s only vice is weaving in the stall at feed / turnout time.
