Tanwin is a grey Percheron mare, 17hh and approximately 14h years old. Foaled in July, so these 2 are a package deal as foal will not be weaning for another 3-4 months.
Tanwin is very laid back, sweet and gentle. Comes when called and has good ground manners. She was said to have been an Amish horse and broke to drive but I’ve never hooked her to anything. Just ridden her bareback around the farm. She has more woah than go.
Good with goats, dogs, kids and other horses.... (read more)
Her only vice is having her feet picked up, she’s not aggressive but can be stubborn so sometimes gives the ferrier a hard time.
She is up to date on coggins and vaccines, recently had full bloodwork panel and everything looked great. Had her teeth floated 3 months ago and full vet check that gave her a clean bill of health. She does have a few old scars in various places.
I don’t have extensive knowledge of her history, but know that she’s been bounced around and not cared for properly at her last home. We pulled her from a bad situation which is why she’s still slightly underweight. I have put a lot of time and money into this mare and she has come a long way in the 10 months she’s been with us, but she could still stand to gain another 200lbs. She will make someone a wonderful companion or broodmare.
Her foal’s name is Twyla. She is a purebred Percheron who will most likely be grey when she matures. Very calm and easy going foal. Great with fly spray and brushing, loves her withers and butt scratched. Halter broke but has not started learning to lead. She will follow wherever mom goes. I have also began working on picking up feet, but not much. She will make an excellent riding or driving prospect. She’s gonna be a BIG girl and I can already tell she has the same easygoing temperament as her mom. Price is negotiable to the right buyer. Text for better photos
