2019 Friesian x DHHx gelding. This guy I planned to keep long term however have decided if there's someone out there who would fuss over him more than I do he would probably really like that. This guy is super sweet, a total goof and can be cheeky. He can be turned out with anyone, in down seasons he even goes out with my stallion.... (read more) Currently he's in a mixed group of 4.
He is a well put together guy who should finish solid and clear 17h without being too much of a tank. His sire Titus KCF is the finer built Friesian and is around 16.1 and his mother Chevelle (aka Bean) is a dhhx who is around 16 3. He will be taller than his mother. He can be registered with Friesian heritage but currently is not.
His mother is the horse everyone dreams of. Sure I am a bit biased but if you met her, you'd agree. A decent size without being too small or too chunky. She will go anywhere, do anything, she is a total blast to ride. When I first got her she was green broke and we spent the first 8 years or so focusing on a dressage background with heavy focus on socialization for all environments. It's only been since we moved to our current farm 3 years ago that we started focusing more on jumping and she is an absolute dream to jump. Point and shoot but makes you ride. If you're not committed she will duck out on you but you'll know 3 strides away shes going to do it.
She trail rides alone or with others, will swim and is great in water or any terrain muddy or rocky. She can build a nervous riders confidence while teaching a more advanced rider the next step. The qualities this mare has are endless. Ask ANYONE who knows her. These traits are why I chose to breed her. She is NOT for sale.
Felix should have a very similar temperament. He should be a go getter who wants to be with you. He will need someone who is not a beginner as he will require someone confident however the work should pay off as if he finishes like his mother he will be the horse your husband can ride on trails and you can show in the dressage, jumping or driving rings.
He is good for the vet and farrier, up to date on vaccines, ties, leads is a pretty relaxed guy but is down to play and be goofy.
Felix is in no situation where he HAS to be sold or was there ever a plan to sell him. However, I do feel he is a bit bored and if there's someone out there looking for a young prospect, why deny him that chance. I will be adamant that he preferably NOT go to a resale home. I realize life changes and he is very young but the plan of long term is a must. You must be ok with keeping in touch with me. I'm not a crazy horse person who will be all over your business, casual updates a few times a year is all I ask. I will also require first right of refusal. I know about the likeliness of it holding up in court blah blah blah, still want it. If your close by I can even help you with backing when that time comes (I hope you wait till at least 4 though, driving could be fun though!). I can provide references for not being THAT horse person
