Jumping/Barrel/Ranch Trail prospect — this mare can do whatever you want — just take her and finish her out on something. Price negotiable to the right home.
I raised her from a yearling and broke her myself. She has only been ridden a handful of times in the past 2 years. She has not given any trouble when she was though other than being a little bit bracey. She would make an excellent barrel, sorting, or jumping prospect!... (read more) Although I feel she would excel most at sorting or jumping as that’s what she loves the most. She has very thick cannon bones and naturally loves to jump and to work cattle. She’s 14 hands tall, 6 years old. Knows leg cues, knows some voice cues, very fun to work on the ground, w/t/c, backs, no spook, no rear, has offered to buck on occasion but after working with a vet we figured that was her SI being sore and Dr Patrick First injected it over a year ago and she has not been sore or bucked since. She had a foal 5 months ago. Foal is weaned. Very easy breeder. Sweet little mare. Loves attention. Boss in the pasture. Does everything great on the ground. Awesome on trails. There’s nothing she won’t cross or go through. Will swim like a fish. As much as I love her and hate to let her go, she needs a job. She gets bored after about an hour if all you’re doing is walking around. But all I have time for is short leisure trail rides. She does great and will work all day for you if she has a job. She has never reared or spooked at anything in her life. She is traffic safe and has been ridden in a nighttime parade and did great. Been to horse shows, no issues. This little mare is a gem but does need to be finished out and needs an experienced light handed rider to do so. She will get pissy quick if you get in her mouth too much. I’m just about the only person to ever ride her and I’m extremely light handed. She will ride with spurs as well, she has since she’s been broke. I have a few recent videos but she is rusty and out of shape. Come try her. This little mare can take somebody somewhere. And I will check out the home she goes to and check references. The only reason I’m even considering letting her go is to get debt paid. If I can’t get enough to do that then she won’t go anywhere. Period. Located in Millry, AL. She was UTD on EVERYTHING last year including lameness exam. Have not gotten anything updated this year but will be glad to do so if a buyer is found. Vet checks welcome. There is an arena nearby that she can be taken to to try out. Payments accepted but she doesn’t leave until I get it all. $1650 a month for 4 months is the least I will take on payments. The extra $150 a month is for boarding. (She carries the creme gene - for those interested in breeding her.)
