16 hands. 14 years. Jack is a stout, gentle gelding. His ground manners are good, super easy keeper, great feet, overall pleasant disposition. Trailers well. Gets along with other horses but isn’t herd bound. He has been ridden English by my daughter for the last three years. In the past he was used in civil war re-enactments.
His shortcomings are his overall athleticism. He isn’t a show horse! Isn’t much of a jumper (he likes jumping just isn’t super coordinated for anything high) and tends to be lazy.... (read more) Requires leg pressure to not bend in turns. Occasionally requires a short crop. Isn’t a point and go type horse. For this reason, he needs an intermediate rider. Would be great as a trail horse for an adult. He loves trails! Oh and his best feature is his canter... super comfy canter. I am sad to sell him but my daughter moved up to a more athletic horse and he isn’t ridden frequently enough. Would make a perfect trail horse/husband horse.
