Mongo is offered through no fault of his own.... (read more) He is listed below market value as he has a mild case of ringbone (vet records available); if he were fully sound, I would be asking around $8,000 because he is an awesome horse. Vet certifies that he is good for light use. Mongo is ridiculously smart and learns very quickly. He is very curious and likes exploring. He is extremely laid back and rides well even after time off.
While he has been professionally trained by Jared Woody of Woody Performance horses, he would still be considered a little green because he only has about 60 total rides on him. After he returned home from training, a couple of weeks later he had a hoof abscess (the only one he has ever had) and was off for about 6 weeks. I had no problem hopping on him with minimal ground work when he returned to work. He is usually good to work lightly if maintained properly with glucosamine or MSM and a dose of Prevacox before working/riding. Farrier says he has tough feet. If you are looking for a good horse to do easy obstacles or light trail riding, he would be amazing for you. He would also be perfect for a young girl that's a mid-level rider or an older lady wanting to slow down.
As I think the world of this horse, he will sell with a right of first refusal contract to an approved home only. Vet and farrier references required. I have extensive pictures and video of him since he was 8 months old and he has his own FaceBook page so you can see all that has been done with him. He is unafraid of tarps, teeter totter obstacles, bridges, arches, pool noodles, sawzalls, bubbles, fireworks, and honking horns. Additional pics, videos, and papers on request. $3000 o.b.o.
Owner with approximately 40 years' experience with horses: raising foals, training, riding, care. If you want to know anything about my horses, just ask. I have extensive photo and video documentation of their entire lives.
